to be buried in the Great Lakes. Each one would be about 100 miles

Will Underwater Pipelines Harm Lakes?
The Lake Michigan Federation's Cameron Davis says allowing pipelines to be built under the Great Lakes will lead to underwater urban sprawl.
Developers want to bury two large pipelines under the
Great Lakes. If either is successful, it would be the first time a
pipeline is placed under a major portion of one of the lakes. The
