Summary:
Today on The Environment Report...
You might be able to get some cash
for your rusty old car. Tamara Keith
reports that Congress is kicking around
a "cash for clunkers" program - you
could trade in your rust bucket for
a much more fuel efficient car. The
hope is that the program will jumpstart
the American auto industry.
And... the U.S. is in the middle
of a huge transition in terms of where
we get energy and how we use it. Some
business leaders predict these changes
will be disastrous for the economy.
Lester talks about these concerns with
Tom Lyon, the Director of the Erb Institute
of Global Sustainable Enterprise.
