Heidi Chang is an award-winning multimedia journalist who contributes to radio, television, print and online media. In addition to The Environment Report, her stories have aired on Living on Earth, National Public Radio, Public Radio International's The World, Voice of America and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Heidi lives in Hawaii, where she’s experienced close encounters with humpback whales, along with researchers trying to solve the mystery of why whales sing. She has also reported on other endangered species, including the Hawaiian green sea turtle, and environmental issues in the Pacific region.
